WHAT TO DO IN A PLUMBING EMERGENCY
While our technicians are on the way, follow these steps to minimize damage:
- Shut the off the Main Waterline for Major Problems: Locate your water shut off valve. This is located outside near the water meter. By turning off the shut off valve, you will stop water from entering your home.
- Turn Off the Shut Off Valve for Sinks and Toilets: There is a shut-off valve near the base of the floor and where the line enters the wall. This is most commonly under the sink and behind the toilet.
- Address Any Leaks: This can be done by wrapping towels around the leak and using a bucket to collect water. Be sure to try to keep the areas as dry as possible to reduce water damage to your property.
- In Case of Water Heater Emergencies… Immediately turn the water heater unit off. This helps to prevent water heater damage and reduces the need for additional water heater repair. If you shut off the mainline this may cause pressure to build and may lead to bigger problems.

I have known this company for over 25 years because they were my account when I was in the insurance business. But have never needed their services. Well my garbage disposal died and the first company came to my mind was d&f plumbing. Nathan arrived and diagnosed the issue. He came back the following day and installed a new one. Not only did he do a fantastic job he gave me some discounts cleaned up after himself and even helped me change a burned ou bulb. What a surprise. Yes they were on a higher scale but it really puts me at easy with their guarantee. Way to go Nathan. I would recommend him again and will definitely use d&for plumbing if need be in the future.

Oleg came out to do maintenance on our HVAC system. Once he knew where all the mini-splits were located, he went right to work. He checked to make sure the cooling and heating worked properly. The outside units were also taken care of. Oleg was so much more thorough than the last company that came to service our HVAC.

Nathan did a very professional job. He was patient and methodical in the installation of my steam room stream machine and plumbing. He also did clean and professional work to cut into the sheet rock to replace hose bibs that had the frost protection and had to be replaced from inside the wall. Excellent plumber. Friendly

I was completely and absolutely impressed with D&F Plumbing from the second I placed the call. The receptionist (real person! Not AI!) was charming, friendly, and personable. She felt like an old friend. My technician Nathan was confronted with a complicated situation only an old house can give and he handled it professionally and thoughtfully. He even agreed to look at a few other plumbing puzzles while he was here; he was so very helpful. He came back the very next day (!!) and completed the job in a few hours. I was honestly amazed. Well done to everyone at this company.

Manuel came to my house today to do some air conditioning work. First of all, Manuel was dressed like a professional and ready to get to work. He work out a solution for my issued and totally explained exactly what he was going to do. He went above and beyond the line of his duty to spent time troubleshooting an issue. I called D&F plumbing to fix my kitchen sink. Brad the project manager answered the phone and listened and really took the time with me. I always appreciate talking with a person vs an answering service or robot. Brad sent Nathan out to do the work on my sink. Nathan even came out extra early to make sure I didn’t have to be late to work. Nathan explained everything he was going to do to my kitchen sink and talked me through it. Nathan explained the part that was needed and how the part worked. He even put down tarp to protect my floors. Nathan and Brad the project manager really put a lot of heart, care, and help in working with me to get my kitchen sink safe and working again. A day later and under my sink is still clean and dry! Everything is working great. They are my go to for all my plumbing from now on , worth every cent!

Jason Reid came today to look at my water heater. He was a competent pleasant man who knew what he was doing. He was upfront in his diagnosis of my problem and didn’t try to find other non existent problems. He helped me do a couple things I couldn’t do myself. (Not enough strength or height). I appreciated his willingness to help. I would recommend D and F plumbing. They have been around forever and take care of both Oregon and Washington customers. Jason is a keeper. I’m old enough to be his grandma and it’s my birthday.
